Community/Volunteer Services: Active in local governance and citizen involvement for many years. Headed and served on the Clackamas County Planning Commission. Headed and served on the Clackamas County and Metro Committee for Citizen Involvement. Original Chairman of the Hamlet of Beavercreek, currently serving as Vice-Chairman. Served or serving on many other community boards and commissions.

Vision for BCT: Improve Internet, TV, and voice services to our members while adapting to the changing Federal and State telecom regulatory environment, maintaining the value of the investment members have made over the years.

Community/Volunteer Services: Countless hours working hard for the kids at Beavercreek Elementary School.

Community/Volunteer Services: Active with Three Rivers Board. Volunteer at Canby New Life Church with the youth group.

Vision for BCT: Stay the course we are on: pay down debt and continue to strengthen our relationships with neighboring telecommunications companies by working together to find ways to reduce costs of products and services provided to our members, who are the heart and soul of BCT. Continue to see BCT provide faster Internet Services to its members.

Vicki Smith

Community/Volunteer Services: I have been a member of the Oregon City Chamber of Commerce for over 25 years and have served on the Board of Directors and as the Chamber President. I am a 13-year member of the Rotary Club of Clackamas and have also served on the Board of Directors and as Chair of International Service. I work for Clackamas Community College Foundation and have lived in the Oregon City Community for over 39 years.

Vision for BCT: My vision as a Board member is to advise, guide and support the President’s leadership striving for improved finances and to deliver faster broadband speeds to BCT members.

Tammy Stevens

Community/Volunteer Services: Served on Clackamas County Planning Commission and Committee for Citizen Involvement. Currently Chairing The Hamlet of Beavercreek Board. Have served on numerous local governance boards and commissions. Active with equines belonging to riding and driving clubs.

Vision for BCT: As a new Board member, I am impressed and supportive of the Board’s goals of fiscal responsibility by paying down debt and networking with local telecommunications companies to provide efficient services and state-of-the-art technology while working within an ever-changing and highly-regulated environment. BCT’s most valued asset is its members and I support the goal of continued exceptional service and support.

Kerry Lawson

Position: Director - District #4

Biography: Kerry has been in the telecommunications industry since 1984 when he attended the Telecommunications Technical School at Idaho State University. In 1989 he was hired by Clear Creek Communications, where he served several positions including Outside Plant Supervisor. He has been involved with a wide variety of telecommunications technologies such as fiber optic deployment, fiber fed CSA remotes, fiber fed CATV Nodes, as well as both DSL & Coaxial broadband services. Kerry has also been involved with the Oregon Telecommunications Association for approximately 20 years, serving two terms as chair.

Vision for BCT: Support management in their efforts to promote BCT within the community. Continue recent efforts to improve our members' needs by embracing new ideas and technology. To fulfill and exceed members' expectations.

Tom Tewalt

Biography: Tom has held many roles in the telecommunications industry for over 35 years. He has been involved with a variety of projects, including WiFi services, network engineering, and broadband systems development.

Vision for BCT: I see BCT continuing in their pursuit of cost-effective services while increasing the quality of service with enhanced features in the Telephony, Television Transport, Data Networking, and Wireless spectrum.

Paul Hauer

International Volunteer (PDX Homeless Food program).

Vision for BCT: My goals are to guide the cooperative into better financial stability through partnerships in the industry and community, and to continue to provide high-speed Internet options to our members. BCT is working to leverage current assets with minimal additional investments to expand our network and enhance our members’ broadband connection experience.
